You don’t need to have the right words, a clear goal, or a full understanding of what’s wrong, just a sense that you’d like some support.You might also be wondering whether what you’re dealing with is “therapy worthy” especially if you’re functioning, coping, or telling yourself others have it worse.
Therapy doesn’t have to be only for moments of crisis. It can be a space to check in with yourself, to untangle thoughts and feelings, or to talk things through before they become overwhelming. If something matters to you, that’s enough.I can offer a space where you don’t have to hold it all together. A place to slow things down, talk things through, and begin to make sense of what you’re carrying, at your pace, in your way. Many people come to counselling feeling nervous or unsure where to start, and that’s completely okay. We will work from where you are.About me, I’m an experienced, qualified, trauma-informed counsellor working integratively, drawing mainly from Person-Centred and CBT approaches. That means our work is shaped around you: your experiences, your needs, and what feels most helpful and safe for you. I believe feeling heard, understood, and accepted is central to meaningful change.I hold a senior and leadership role within a counselling organisation and I’m a registered member of the BACP, working within their ethical framework. I also hold British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited training and continue to develop my practice through regular supervision and ongoing learning.
